One of the things I try to do to keep myself creatively fresh is to switch gears and dig into the musical side of my persona.
I was raised on music that had rhythm and soul to it, so it was a natural thing for me to eventually gravitate towards Deep House music.

A recent IM6 (Integrated Multimedia 6 ways) presentation by my colleague and friend, David Dunkley-Gymiah prompted me to think about where my fellow newspaper photo-j shooters are going with their transition to shooting video.

The recent portfolio project I completed on the volunteer freediver at the Oregon Coast Aquarium has me some what confused and to a certain extent, frustrated and discouraged as to which version of the story is so called “correct”.
When I completed the first version, some critiques said I should have added an audio narration to introduce the story. So I revised it to reflect those recommendations.

The Knight Citizen News Network has an excellent piece on the foundational principles of journalism to help citizen reporters master the fundamentals of the craft in a networked age.
