Here is a self assigned small project I just completed on a professional singer.
Her story I felt was somewhat unique and this project shows how one can do a slice of life story for a small town newspaper moving to video on their website.
**Addendum - after discussion with mentors, I have made a revision of this project to reduce the amount of time and tighten up the project as a whole**

I’m just trying to be constructive here, but I would have used a little different background for the interview portions of this clip.
We see a light switch, a lamp pole which is cut off, a white board cut off, and a solid colored wall. Everything is generic and everything is industrial and yet it is a piece about music and art.
It doesn’t seem composed or arranged or paid attention to.
I hope you don’t take my comments wrong. I just feel that a little care taken in choosing a background for the interview portion that was less “bleak” would have contributed to the artistic merit of this film, which is after all, about an artist.

Matt - Thanks for the critique - this was one of my first self generated projects and having looked back now - I see where I would have done things differently.
I have begun to see those kinds of things and am striving to constantly improve those areas that seem to get missed until after the fact.
