I have been knocking around the idea of developing a portal site that mimics the past look and feel of multimediashooter.com specifically for web video journalism.

So yesterday I launched solovj.com which will be the repository of what I have been blogging here on my site and transitioning my posts to that domain.

I’m still putting the finishing touches on the site as I’ just finished editing my Obama rally content and now get to sit in front of a computer for the time being working on four different website projects for clients.

I feel that a void has been created around this niche profession that combines the profession of solo video journalism with citizen journalism and web documentary shooters.  Whether it flies or not, we’ll see.

Either way it doesn’t matter.  This is the web, take a chance and see if it works.  If it does - GREAT - if it doesn’t, that’s ok as well.
